Toyota's 4Runner sport utility vehicle may be equipped with either a
V-6 or V-8 engine, as well as rear- or four-wheel drive. For 2005, the

Avalon
|
Redesigned for the 2005 model year, Toyota's largest model holds a new
3.5-liter V-6 and is bigger and roomier than its predecessor. A
Touring edition targets younger buyers.

|
Toyota's popular front-wheel-drive midsize Camry is available in a
variety of models and can have four-cylinder or V-6 power. All 2005
models have standard antilock brakes, and the Camry's exterior styling

Redesigned for 2004, Toyota's midsize front-wheel-drive coupe gained a
shapely new look. A new five-speed-automatic transmission became

Facing its final season on the market, the low, snug Toyota Celica
coupe emphasizes precise handling talents and high-revving performance
— especially in GT-S form. Its styling was inspired by racecars, and

The compact Corolla carries on Toyota's long-standing tradition of
dependable and economical small-car transportation. Though the Corolla
isn't the least-expensive compact sedan, it ranks among the most
sensible choices.

Echo
|
Distinctively upright in profile, the subcompact Toyota Echo is
smaller than the Corolla and comes in either two- or four-door form.
Special touches include a center-mounted instrument cluster.

Highlander
|
Related to the Lexus RX 330, Toyota's midlevel car-based sport utility
vehicle has its own styling and personality. Face-lifted for 2004, the
Highlander can be equipped with a four-cylinder or V-6 and front- or
all-wheel drive.

Land Cruiser
|
Part of the Toyota lineup for roughly half a century, the Land Cruiser
is a full-size sport utility vehicle that's related to the more
expensive Lexus LX 470. Powered by a 4.7-liter V-8, the Land Cruiser
has permanently engaged four-wheel drive. Like all 2005 Toyota SUVs,
the Land Cruiser features the manufacturer's Star Safety System.

Matrix
|
Related to the Pontiac Vibe, the Toyota Matrix hatchback comes in
three trim levels and is available with a choice of two engines and
either front- or all-wheel drive.

MR2 Spyder
|
Featuring a mid-engine rear-wheel-drive configuration, Toyota's
two-seat sports car is snug but fun on the road. Either a manual
gearbox or a sequential manual transmission can be installed in the
MR2 Spyder, which is facing its final season.

Prius
|
After three years in its prior form, Toyota's hybrid-powered Prius was
redesigned for 2004 and enlarged enough to move from compact to
midsize status. Rather than a four-door sedan, as it used to be, the
current model is a stylish four-door hatchback. In contrast to Honda's
hybrid system, electric operation is dominant in the Prius and the
gasoline engine provides supplementary power. Demand has been strong,
causing Toyota to increase production.

RAV4
|
Toyota's smallest sport utility vehicle received a face-lift for the
2004 model year and gained a larger and more powerful four-cylinder.
Safety features are emphasized for 2005. Competing against such SUVs
as the Ford Escape and Honda CR-V, the RAV4 may be equipped with
front- or all-wheel drive. A redesign is likely soon.

Sequoia
|
Based on Toyota's Tundra pickup truck, the Sequoia is the company's
largest sport utility vehicle. In addition to a freshened exterior for
2005, the Sequoia's 4.7-liter V-8 has gained 42 horsepower. This
eight-passenger SUV may be equipped with either rear- or four-wheel
drive.

Sienna
|
Launched as an early 2004 model, Toyota's redesigned Sienna minivan
had a longer wheelbase and wider track than its highly capable
predecessor, yet turned a tighter circle. Four trim levels are
available, and all-wheel drive is offered on up-level versions.
Siennas are manufactured in Indiana.

Tacoma
|
Toyota has redesigned its small pickup truck for 2005; the Tacoma is
now larger and more powerful. Three cab styles and two bed lengths are
offered, and these trucks can be equipped with two-wheel drive or
four-wheel drive. A new youth-focused X-Runner model is available.

Tundra
|
Toyota added a new, bigger Double Cab model to its full-size pickup
truck lineup for 2004. A little smaller than domestic full-size
models, the Tundra can be equipped with either V-6 or V-8 power. Both
engines are more powerful for 2005. Tundras are available in three cab
styles.
