Introductions
Models debuting in the 2006 model year

Charger
Dodge has revived a grand old name from its performance-car past with the 2006 Charger. In its modern rendition, the Charger is a sedan and not a coupe. Powertrain choices include a V-6 and a Hemi V-8.

Remaining Lineup

Caravan
Feature revisions on Dodge's front-wheel-drive minivans for 2005 focused on the interior, but shorter-wheelbase Caravans had fewer changes than the extended-length Grand Caravan. Dodge has emphasized the standard-size minivan's price, promoting the Caravan SE as the lowest-priced minivan on the market.

Dakota
Redesigned for the 2005 model year, Dodge's smaller pickup truck grew in size, and the automaker called it the largest in its class. Styling features are reminiscent of the full-size Ram pickup. A V-6 and two V-8 engines are available in Dakota models. Four new editions join the 2006 lineup: TRX, TRX4 Off-Road, R/T and Night Runner.

Durango
Dodge redesigned its Durango sport utility vehicle for the 2004 model year. Larger than its 1998 - 2003 predecessor, it sports a decidedly different look. Engine choices include DaimlerChrysler's Hemi V-8, a smaller V-8 and a V-6. An Electronic Stability Program is available for 2006.

Grand Caravan
The 2005 redesign of Dodge's front-wheel-drive Grand Caravan and the Chrysler Town & Country focused on the interior. Stow 'n Go seating lets you fold both the second- and third-row seats into the floor. Dodge also offers a shorter-wheelbase Caravan series.

Magnum
The Magnum wagon can be equipped with rear- or all-wheel drive. Two V-6 engines or a Hemi V-8 can be installed. An Electronic Stability Program and traction control — standard on SXT and R/T models — help cope with snowy and icy surfaces. A high-performance SRT8 wagon joins the 2006 lineup.

Ram 1500
Available in half- , three-quarter- and one-ton capacities, Dodge's full-size pickup trucks continue to flaunt the unmistakable look of ruggedness. A Multi-Displacement System for the Hemi V-8 boosts fuel economy. The Ram SRT10 packs a 500-horsepower Viper V-10 engine. A Power Wagon version of the 2500 handles demanding offroad tasks, and a Mega Cab model debuts for 2006.

Sprinter
Originally a Freightliner product, the full-size Sprinter van adopted a Dodge badge early in 2003. Passenger and cargo-carrying models are offered, as is a choice of roof heights.

Stratus
Dodge's midsize sedan is a cousin to the Chrysler Sebring. Stratus sedans are offered in sporty R/T trim and in family-focused SXT form. A four-cylinder and a V-6 are offered.

Viper SRT10
You can't miss a Viper when it passes you on the road. It can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in less than 4 seconds and run from a standstill to 100 mph and back to zero in less than 13 seconds. A Viper coupe joins the convertible body style for 2006.
